If you are a fashionista on a budget like I am, then you are always looking for designer fashions at bargain prices. There are a couple of ways to do this but this week's tip is about Sample Sales.
I love a good sample sale. Seeing as how I am a born and raised New Yorker and my office is in the Fashion District I am SURROUNDED by sample sales. And I love it! For those of us who cannot get to New York's Fashion Avenue for these sales the next best stop is....

Online sample sale sites are great and I have succumbed. Lol. Much of my closet is as a result of these sales. Below are three of my favorite sites and my recommendations. Lets Go!

Backed by Nordstroms, this sample sale site power house is Amazing! This was the first sample sale site I ever subscribed to and I have never looked back. Amazing selection, sexy prices and now there is a section of the site that is connected directly to Nordstoms Rack. I personally have bought shoes, housewares, electronics, men's wear, towels... This is on the higher end side of the online sample sale world. There housewares prices really can't be beat. However, we are here for the clothes and shoes right? Right! They have a phenomenonal selection of womens shoes and apparel. Plus, when you join they create personal sales for you based on your shopping history. How cool is that?Ideeli
Rounding out my top 3 is ideeli. This selection is HUGE! Major designer and lesser designer sales. An insane amount of sales start each day. By far my favorite place to buy my favorite thing... SHOES! Ships incredibly fast and they give size suggestions for you based on your shopping history. Plus, the more you shop the earlier you can shop sales and gain insider access.The Fine Print
These are subscription site, although there is no obligation to buy. Also, sales don't last forever so you gotta be quick. You snooze you lose. They have but so much inventory so items can sell out quickly. Additionally, you can sometimes be short sold. This means that you bought an item but they ran out of stock. As its a sample sale once its sold, its sold. It won't be restocked. They are good about returning your money but it can be a let down. That's why you gotta be quick!
Hautelook ships within 14 days of purchase, Gilt and Ideeli can take as long or shorter. So keep that in mind. This is not for last minute shoppers but if you can wait you will be extremely happy.
