Happy Earth Day!
As I continue on my sustainable fashionista journey, I've realized
sustainability is for everyone. Sustainability means different things to
different people. At the end of the day, we all have to do our part.
82% of the Average American's wardrobe hasn't been worn in at least 12 months.
Whether it's thrifting, shopping (and selling) consignment, buying from
brands that prioritize sustainable practices, supporting craftsmen and artisans
or supporting brand that make small batches to reduce waste - I keep at the forefront,
Look good, Do good
50% of fast fashion is thrown away in less than a year.
I thrift, I shop consignment, I consign, but I also hold on to my pieces for
a long time. My everyday bag is from ABLE and I've had it for at least 10
years.

I often prioritize quality and wait before investing in a new trend. That
may mean I score pieces at a higher price point but using tools like
Afterpay and ShopPay help me manage the expense.
Pro Tip: Join a sustainable brand's newsletter or email list. Catalog all
the pieces you are dreaming of and when a sale drops you'll be one of the
first to know and grab a deal.
Below is a list of my old Faithfuls and new brands I've discovered over the
last year. Shopping sustainable brands pushes the industry to adopt more
sustainable practices.
Plus, a lot of sustainable fashion is great!
