I turn 33 today and for me Birthdays are always a mixed bag. You get a year older which when you are a kid is awesome cuz you want to be older anyway. However, now that I’m on the other side of 30 I wish I could age in reverse lol.
With getting a year older it brings reflection. Ever since March started I’ve been reflecting. When I think back to when I was younger where I am was no where in my head space. To be honest I don’t think any of us really imagines realistically how our life will be at a particular birthday.
This year is the year of perseverance. Perseverance in posting on the blog, in securing partnerships, in pursuing dreams, in loving myself. And that really starts with accepting where I am at in every stage of my life.
Am I satisfied with where I am at? No. But, I have a husband who loves me and 2 great kids who are as smart as whips even at 3 years old and 20 months. I’m pushing myself beyond my normal and I’m still standing. And I'm alive and in good health to experience it all.
I often like to say that as long as I am alive I still have a chance to get it right. We all do. Move past the mistakes of yesterday. Stop doubting yourself and your abilities because you are
Fabulous and You Rock.
I’m talking to myself too.
So this year I’m persevering, taking chances, and letting go of fear because I’m determined that this year will be my year.
