“Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful ...”
It’s my birthday! When I look back at my life what truly brings me joy is looking into the beautiful faces of my husband and kids and knowing they are happy and healthy. This may be an old fashioned idea but my family’s happiness really is my own and everything else (job, career, ambition) is secondary. All I do is for them. We sometimes get so caught up in the doing we lose sight of the why. They are my why and I am thankful that I have them to motivate me.
I’m just so grateful for another year. To be a wife and a mother and a bomb fashionista. And this year I’m committing to make beautiful things even if no one cares. This world needs more beautiful things and that’s what I want to leave to my kids. A beautiful world, a love of family, a reason and a means to thrive and to never lose sight of the why. My life isn’t perfect but it is beautiful.
