The Fabulous Shoe Maven is on the case this Tuesday to bring you the shoes you definitely should have in your closet this summer. I started buying sandals in February, lol, so I have been investigating this extensively.
I can tell you that all the usual suspects are still popular; i.e. flip flops, espadrilles (a fave of mine), and wedges but here are a few that can freshen up your summer shoe closet. (Doesn't everyone have a shoe closet or is it just me?)
Mules
This trend has followed us through the Fall and the Spring and I ain't mad at it. Mules, slides whatever you chose to call them have in the passed gotten a bad wrap as an old lady shoe but now I am a believer but maybe its because I'm a mom now. Lol. Who knows? All I know now is that they are super cute.

Transparent Shoes
I touched on this briefly yesterday but this is a huge trend this season once again following us from Fall to Spring to Summer. From transparent boots to now transparent sandals. If you have been around awhile this is not a new trend. I had 3 of 4 pairs of transparent shoes back in the day. I love the look but they require maintenance. A lesson I learned my first go round.

Heel Embellishments
I love when shoes are unique and a little funky! And summer is the perfect time to be playful in your shoe game.

Pops of Color
Don't be afraid of color. Pastels and primary colors (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue) are huge trends this season and if you don't want to take a chance with clothes, shoes are the perfect way to add color to your outfit. I do it all the time. My clothes are a pretty basic color palette but my shoes are the rainbow.

Kitten Heels
I have become such a fan of kitten heels but they are always a pain to find. For those of us who love this heel height stock up this summer.
