I used to walk with my head down a lot when I was younger. I was painfully shy and often afraid to look into people's eyes for fear of what I would see. And then I found fashion.
You cannot put on your best outfit and then walk down the street with your head down. You have to walk with pride and own it. You, like me, work hard for everything you have. Every piece of jewelry, every shoe, every bag, dress, top, skirt, pair of pants - whether they cost $5 or $555 - they are showing off the wonderful person that you are.
You don't need a fancy runway because this world is it. Mine is the concrete and subway stations in NYC. I don't walk with my head down because I am amazing and so are you.
So head up, shoulders back and rock it! You didn't spend umpteen minutes getting ready to not show out. You have nothing to be ashamed, afraid or scared of. Own it.
