Checks, Gingham, Tartan, I love them all!
I think plaid is always a big trend every fall because its just really cozy, its usually in a thick fabric and comes in all the wonderful fall colors i.e. greens, navys, burgundys, yellows. It just screams fall to me.

I wore plaid for 8 years of my school life so I have a huge affection for this fall staple. This year designers' take was a homage to Clueless and plaids of the 90s. Thats why I recycle clothing. Everything comes back in style eventually. Well... almost everything. lol

I'm not a huge fan of mixing prints so I would choose one plaid piece and all the rest would be neutral like this look from Michael Adams Dolan. Plaid can become visually overwhelming and it can end up wearing you.

I would totally rock this look.
My favorite plaid is usually a burgundy or gray plaid, preferably in a skirt or blazer. But I also like plaid in a button down or scarf. Some of the warmest fall/winter scarves are plaid.
