I used to hate making mistakes as a kid and if I'm honest I still do. Going up in a West Indian household perfection is a big deal and the thought that I messed up always brought me anxiety. And it left me in a panic to fix it. However, over the years I have learned that mistakes are a part of life.
Some mistakes are easier to overcome than others but every mistake has a teachable moment. Out of some of my biggest mistakes have been some amazing creations because it forced me to find a solution to the problem I created. Whether that meant humbling myself and asking for help or getting better educated in something.
So don't be afraid to make a mistake because we are human. We're not perfect and as long as you have breath in your body you have time to get it right.
If at first you don't succeed try, try again.
