It’s that time of year where the weather is changing, days are getting shorter. Most people have already pulled out their cute cable knit sweaters, tall boots and sipping on their favorite hot beverages. I will admit I am one of those I need 75 degree and up weather type of girls but living in the South we do (gasp) have other weather besides hot and humid. So I’ve finally stored my sandals, tanks and shorts and pulled my cold weather clothes and shoes closer to reach.

Let me tell yall, these shoes are well worth every penny spent. Most people are like come on Sarah, they are just a pair of shoes they can’t be worth that price. I know, I know they are just some ballet flats but hear me out they are more than that.
I wear high heels 8 hours a day, 5 days a week in my office job. So when you do the math that’s 160 hours a month, 1,920 hours a year and since well some doubt my need for comfortable footwear that’s about 13,440 hours (I’ve been at my current job about 7 years) of wearing, standing, walking in heels that after a while just flat out hurt my feet.
Now that we’ve got the math out of the way let’s get back to it!
I had a Fall trip planned to D.C. with Honor Flight escorting former WWII, Korean War and Vietnam Veterans to see the Memorials so I knew I needed something comfortable to be able to walk around pain free and still feel like myself.
These shoes did not disappoint. They suggest your order a size down if you wear a half size or if you have a wide foot order a size up. If you are a full size order your true size. I wear a 6.5 and decided to order down. They fit well but one foot is a tad wider. Customer support was amazing, offering for me to send them back for a refund or if they have been worn to wear a thicker sock to stretch them out a tad or to send them back so they could professionally stretch them out.

I opted to wear my super cozy fleece socks and walked around the house chasing after my toddler. I did this for a day and a half and it worked like a charm. They didn’t hurt my feet one bit walking through Atlanta Airport and they most definitely didn’t hurt walking around all day in our Nation’s Capital.
I’ve since worn them to fall festivals, art shows, a surprise birthday getaway for my best friend to New Orleans, trick or treating with my toddler, jeans day to work instead of slipping on yet another pair of heels. I definitely plan on wearing these while out doing my yearly Black Friday shopping.
Besides being incredibly comfortable the best thing about Tieks is that you can fold them and carry them in the tote bag that comes with your purchase. So if you find yourself in heels all day throw a pair of Tieks in your tote bag, briefcase, backpack and go on with your fierce self. Guess who’s planning on buying the cute Leopard print Tieks next!
