My Favorite Christmas Tradition

Happy Tuesday! Your Blogmas post is coming up at noon today but I wanted to share another love of mine with you during the holiday season.

While I do mostly fashion on this blog I am a person of many faces sans makeup lol. If you have been following me for a while you know I’m a total foodie!

I love to cook and I especially love to bake. Muffins, cakes, cookies, pies. You name it I bake it. Or at least I attempt to. Lol.

During Christmas time I do a lot of baking. It’s a passion of mine. It started because I love baked goods but I'm allergic to nuts and so in order for me to enjoy the recipes of the season I had to bake my own. And like I do with my closet I share what I bake too, with my friends and loved ones. I’m a sharer in case you hadn’t noticed.

I start baking all my Christmas treats this week, to my family's delight, so I’m getting my cookie menu together. I usually make your standard sugar cookie covered in frosting and sprinkles (my fav), snickerdoodles and gingerbread. I also make Rice Krispy Treats which aren't really a cookie but I love them all the same. Then I make what I call a "specialty" cookie. 

The problem is, I haven’t decided what specialty cookie to make. In the past I have done lemon, apple pie cookies and some others but...

There are so many great recipes out there. It's hard to choose.

I have a couple of ideas on my recipes board on Pinterest. I’m leaning towards something eggnogy. I know that’s so not a word. Lol.

However, lately the Italian Christmas Cookie is looking like a good challenger to that.
