It’s been a fashion filled weekend here in NYC and your girl has the highlights from her favorite shows and top headlines.
A lot of my favorites had their shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday. From Cushnie (recap coming later today), Brandon Maxwell, Elie Tahari, and Rebecca Minkoff (recap coming tomorrow), I had an amazing weekend in my bed watching the shows. I haven't been feeling well but all the fashion helped to cheer me up.

Here are my top highlights so far.
Diversity
The runways are the most diverse I have ever seen them in my life. Plus size models, Black, Asian & Brown girls. Muslim models. Transgender. Models with Disabilities. Inclusivity has been the name of the game.
I mean NYFW kicked off with the 11 Honore Show which is a line that produces designer fashion for sizes 12 -20. The show was amazing!

Designers had something to say.
Tom Ford and Jeremy Scott to name two. Ford's bold choice of music during his show and Scott's use of salacious headlines on the clothing themselves let it be known that fashion is and always has been more than just pretty clothes.
Black and White are BIG
Ebony and Ivory have been living together in harmony on the runway and I am here for it. I do like color but Black and White is out of sight. Please enjoy my 70s slang reference lol.
