Today I’m talking one of Spring Trends I’m NOT rocking with.
Biker Shorts
I know everyone is drinking the Kool Aid on this one and jumping on the bandwagon. However, I just can't. I’m sorry but I just can’t co-sign this one. Just like I want dad sneakers to be canceled I have good reason to not like this trend.
The first reason why I don’t like bike shorts is that they are not flattering on everyone. I in general don’t like styles that don’t look good on every body type. Biker shorts are very unforgiving and if you don’t have an hourglass figure and aren’t a size 2 they don’t look good.
Hence the reason I don’t wear them other than under a short skirt. Have you ever ridden the NYC subway in the summer and tried to sit down with a short skirt on? So type of short is necessary. Only God knows what has been on them seats.

The second reason is the length. I hate where they hit above the knee and how they rest on the knee. They also don't scream work appropriate. I don't care if you wear it with a blazer and a great pair of heels, if you show up in the office wearing this I'm looking at you sideways. Unless its a fashion office and even then...
They are the douche-y cool kid of clothes who you want to be your friend but secretly know you can’t stand them.
So this trend is a hard no for me.
