We are always told to plan for the future. It’s drilled into us once we hit junior high when the race for the best high school starts. Because a good high school means a good college and a good college means a good job. As you plan for a future that is rapidly changing and forever evolving.
We plan for the future so much that we often forget to live in the present.

I want to be successful and I want to be financially healthy and I want time to do the things I love and are passionate about (like blogging) and do it big for my family but I find that some days I’m so focused on growing my blog, making money, being an entrepreneur, posting to social, while working full time, I push to the side the little futures that are in front on me.
There has to be a balance.
Truthfully, what you do now will shape your forever and so it all depends on what you want forever to look like.
I want many things but never at the expense of my children and husband. My forever includes them, and their happiness. Everything else is secondary.
So today, stop to live in the moment, smell the roses, foster your relationships, eat that piece of cake, take an extra long lunch, admire the sunset, do that once in a lifetime thing, take that once in a lifetime opportunity because forever is just a series of nows and what you neglect now isn't guaranteed to make it to the future.
