You don't think I forgot about Prom did ya?
It's still Prom Month here over on the blog. Did you notice that some of our Midday Delights and Item Spotlights have been sustainable? I've been sharing Earth Day tips and you didn't even know it. Lol
So below check out my top 3 tips so that you can be a sustainable gal!
Tip #1: Shop consignment or thrift. If you shop these options be armed with your size and be prepared to search. This option requires patience and a little bit of luck but it has the potential to reap huge and beautiful rewards.
These below are from The RealReal all under $350.
Tip #2: Shop a friend or family members closet! I have found so many great items in my mom, sister, brother and even my dad's closets. There is so shame in my game. Why this is great is you get to exercise your creative muscles, I can guarantee no one else will be wearing what you are wearing and you can create a family heirloom of sorts. I love when the clothes I wear tell stories.
Tip #3: Resell your gown! So the party is over and you have a dress you probably will never wear again. Even if you didn't start out sustainable you can extend the lifecycle of your dress. There are tons of places that you can sell your dress. My favorite? Poshmark. I sell there. I shop there. They rock!
Happy Shopping!
Your Friend,
The Fabulous Shoe Maven
