The great thing about Prom shoes is that they mimic the trends of Spring and Summer. That means that you can get multiple wears out of your pretty footwear.
Tip: Don't be like me and buy a pair of shoes that you wear once for prom and then it collects dust in your closet. Buy a pair that you love and can wear more than once.

Tip: If you wear this trend, when you sweat, which is inevitable with all the dancing you will be doing, the shoe will fog up because it doesn't breathe. Chose a pair that has an open toe or rock the trend in the heel.

Block Heels
You are gonna be on your feet all night and you are gonna need the sturdy support of a block heel. Like these at David's Bridal. Good thing they are currently trending. This means they will be easy to find and will look a lot better than they did in the 90s.
Animal Print
Snakeskin is this season's IT print and therefore it has made its way into Prom fashion. Look for a pair that is subtle if you are unsure about adding a print. Like this Vince Camuto pair at Nordstroms or this Leopard print pair at Asos.
But subtle or not, make no mistake, it's a bold choice that will make you stand out.
