#Wednesday Wisdom - People Will Stare

Happy Wednesday!

Take it from me, as a girl who tried desperately as a child to be invisible, people will stare at you no matter what. I used to walk with my head down a lot as a kid to try to make myself seem smaller. But because I love fashion and clothes and shoes, OMG the SHOES!, I would stand out. I used to wear heels to school. Good ones too. Like who was I? Lol.

The thing is even when we aren't aware, people are watching. When I was younger my elderly neighbors taught me that lesson. They would always report back to my mom if they saw me out and about. Thank God I was always doing the right thing so it was always a good report. Now that I'm older, my children prove this to me time and time again when they mimic what I do and what I say.

So, since we know they are watching, let's give them something to talk about. I'm not saying to live in infamy. I'm saying to wear your favorite things even if its not in season or trending. Love and embrace who you are even if others think its weird or quirky. Walk with your head high and own everything you do, good or bad. Live life out loud and in color.

People will stare, Make it worth their while.
