Happy Thursday!
I love Art Deco which is probably why I love that Geometry is trending in bridal right now. It brings back memories of my own wedding which was art deco inspired. Our theme was an old Hollywood movie. Think Great Gatsby, 1920s and sparkle. We even had a concession stand. Lol.
I didn't have a lot of money for my wedding, which I think is true for most brides of the world, so I had to find ways to incorporate the Art Deco theme without killing my bank account.
So today I'm sharing 3 tips for you to grace yourself in sacred geometry whether you like the trend a little bit or a lot no matter your budget.
--------------
Tip #1: One of the first places I looked was Rent the Runway. Now, I didn't end up going this route but if your budget is really tight or you are going to the Justice of the Peace this is a fabulous option. It's sustainable, you don't have to worry about getting the dress preserved after (ugh!) and this beautiful gown by Laundry by Shelli Segal is just $70 for 4 days! Retail: $365
Tip #2: Accessorize! I used hair clips to incorporate Art Deco into my bridal style after I opted for a more traditional dress. Now hair combs can be expensive (the ones pictured are in the mid range at $20) but get some inspiration form Pinterest and then get crafty like I did. I DIY'ed my bridal hairpiece which saved me a bunch and made it more personal.
Tip #3: Shop consignment! Yes wedding dresses are consigned too which means you get to reap the benefits of discounted prices. This Herve Ledger dress features these beautiful geometic lines even though its a few seasons behind. Remember: Fashion cycles.
It retails for $645 at
The RealReal but you can do a payment plan. And considering that most wedding dresses start at $1,500 nowadays this designer pick at that price is amazing. Then you can modernize it with accessories. Like a belt and the veil of course.
Happy Shopping!
