Summer will soon be upon us but that doesn't mean you too can't incorporate this wedding season's hottest fabric. In today's post I'm giving you some velvet inspiration in the form of three subtle ways to add velvet to your day.
Tip #1: Table runner
This has to be the easiest way to add velvet to your day. It adds great texture and warmth especially if your wedding is winter themed. It can also add a feeling of opulence because velvet just feels so luxurious.
DIY Tip: You can buy a bolt of velvet fabric and cut your own table runners. Then bust out your sewing machine or hot glue gun to seal the edges. It's customizable and cheaper.
Tip #2: Pocket Squares
I mean honestly when talking about fashion the sky really is the limit here. From smoking jackets to belts you really have a lot of wiggle room. Like I mentioned above, my flower girl dress was all velvet! However, if you want a subtle velvet addition your groom's and groomsmen's pocket squares are a great choice.

It's subtle. Adds color and texture and when you are crying those tears of joy it'll be the perfect thing to pat your tears away.
Pro Tip: Pat, don't rub, else you ruin all that beautiful make-up you got done by Nomi Beauty :)
Tip #3: Shoes!
You probably should have seen this coming. Lol. I always have to find a way to throw in shoes. Now either it could be your own bridal shoes. Or you can make it the unique piece that brings your bridal party look together.
These cute Jimmy Choo's could make a great bridal shoe!
