#Wednesday Wisdom - There is Always More Rope

Have you ever gotten to what you thought was the end of your rope and then discovered there was more rope?

As a woman and as a mom I am often testing the limits of what's possible. Whether it's limits from society, my family or my own personal limits.

Being a woman has found me constantly surpassing the limits others and society have set for me. Being a wife & mom has found me testing the limits of my love, patience, energy, fear and sleep deprivation quotient lol.

But it's the limits I place on myself that I find are the most crippling.

The beauty of fashion is that there are no limits. The imagination and creativity of designers is boundless and endless and fearless testing societies boundaries every collection, every season, every day.

And maybe that's why I love it so much.

When I was younger, fashion was my way to express myself. This is probably true for a lot of people. Because while I often was unsure of myself, I was never unsure of my style. I wore what I liked, I wore what fit my body well, black was my ish and I wore heels because I loved them and I could.

Today as I self-reflect I realize I have surpassed a lot of the limits I thought I couldn't surpass. I have survived things I never thought I'd survive. There was always more rope.

So today I say to you and myself test the limits and the boundaries of what you think is possible. Dream impossible dreams and actively work toward them. You may believe there is no more rope or you may be at the very end of your current one but I'm betting that there is more rope left. There always is.
