When I plan a vacation I immediately picture sun, sand, water, and beautiful clothing.

I want to get away and lounge away, sipping Rum mixed cocktails and enjoying sugar cane on the beach. It's my Caribbean roots after all.
But besides the usual suspects of bathing suits, flip flops, sunscreen, phone and charger, what else should be in your suitcase?
When you plan to spend most of your time by the pool or beach you need sexy cover-ups. That means in my suitcase you will find tons of dresses and maybe even a sarong or two. They are easy to slip on and off, they can easily transition from partying all day to partying all night, and they can hide a multitude of sins after you indulged in that all-inclusive resort menu.

Big Accessories
I've shared my love of hoops in the summer last month so those are definitely in my suitcase but I also like to bring with me bangles in bright colors, a big, chic hat (hats can be amazingly fashion forward) to protect me from the sun and my favorite basket bag to hold all my essentials like sunscreen, phone, and snacks. Gotta have snacks.

Sandals are the only form of shoe necessary on vacation as far as I'm concerned and when I'm relaxing in the resort that's what I wear. And I bring loads of them. I like to walk barefoot anyway so these are perfect to slip on and off when shoes are required and they won't bring all the sand from the beach back home with you.
