I don't know about you, but I feel the most powerful when I like the way I look. The worst is being in an important meeting or needing to put my best foot forward and second guessing what I'm wearing.

Just recently I was at a board meeting, I needed to be on my game and I wore this skirt that for whatever reason kept riding up. I was so self-conscious the whole time I was there I was just happy to report my numbers and get out. No one was fearing me that day. lol.

We're in the home stretch of 2019 and no one has time to not feel powerful.

Why do you think I'm here? To help you navigate the trends and find your power. Because the stress of keeping up is enough to drive one mad.

When I saw this quote I instantly thought of the Devil Wears Prada. Meryl Streep's character wasn't feared because she looked good (though she truly did look amazing), She was feared because she knew she looked good and that confidence gave her power to be focused and own her job.

So today and everyday, through the end of the year, make it your goal to empower yourself. Wear what makes you feel strong. Dresses, pants, a suit, killer shoes - whatever it is, make sure it makes you feel good, makes you feel strong and makes you feel like you own it so you can focus on your business, your kids, that brand deal, that house closing or even that trip to the grocery store.
