In all that has been going on Women's History Month has been a bit overshadowed. But, it is still March and today I want to honor that by showing some love to women and women owned businesses.
Celebrating Women's History Month!
If you follow me on Instagram, yesterday I posted about Rochelle Johnson, founder of BeautiCurve. Her newest collection with Lane Bryant dropped and its is incredible. It starts at size 12 and I want at least 4 items from the collection.
I posted Rochelle because I love highlighting female entrepreneurship. I know from experience that the more you see someone like you doing something you are more likely to believe that you can do it too. So I will share, shop and support women who are working hard and killing it so that girls know they can do it too.
That's why I love We Are Women Owned. Founded by Lisa Nicole Rosado, they host pop-up shops, in my beloved NYC, of majority owned female businesses. Whenever I see an email from them pop into my inbox I jump on it. I get introduced to so many amazing brands that I wouldn't have known otherwise and I get to meet the founders and talk to them about their products and what brought them to the space. How cool is that?
Plus, the last pop-up I went to I won the raffle and all the goodies I got were AWESOMESAUCE! It's always an incredible experience and it's where I learned about okko, which is now one of my favorite things.

Speaking of favorite things, Rebecca Minkoff is one of my favorite female founders. Besides being an incredible fashion designer she is a huge support of female founders. She was real, candid and I even got to ask her a question.
I was really at a crossroads in my blogging life at this point and after this event I really decided to just keep pushing forward and I looked up everything related to Rebecca. In this

Speaking of collectives, I want to highlight some incredible women who have nothing to do with fashion but where crucial in my evolution in Math and Finance. I celebrate all of my female Math teachers and the incredible female leaders I have had the chance to learn from.
To Mrs. Esther Ellison who was the first person to tell me I was good in Math, put me in her advance math class and started me on my journey, opening this door that I wasn't even aware existed for me. To Ms. Horne, Ms. Kress, Dr. Artzt, and Dr. Sisser thank you for being incredible mathematicians that I had the honor to learn from. To Auntie Katie for advocating for me and setting me on my career path. To Susan Lyddon and Dr. Gail Mellow who taught me how to be strong and lead in predominately male spaces. Thank you all in this collective for seeing in me things I didn't see in myself and propelling me thus far.
And to all the badass women who have followed my blog and this journey, you are fabulous, your rock and I celebrate you.
