When Back to School Looks Different

Aug 20, 2020 0 comments
It is Friday eve my fabulous fashionistas! And August has flown by.

It's has been an incredibly hectic time for your fave fashionista and I'm sure it has been for you as well.

My son turns 5 next week and is technically eligible for kindergarten (though I would prefer to red shirt him) but like many mommas this school year looks and feels very different.

Normally I would be excited talking about adulting back to school and this blog post would normally be showcasing how to get housewares, bedding, furniture excetera on sale. Back to school is a notoriously good time to shop these items especially if you are a single gal or have kids. And I still might.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Ends August 31st! Shop my Faves!

But for a minute there no one knew what school would look like in the fall. Would students be on campuses? Would parents be playing teacher again? And quite frankly it changes minute by minute.

I myself am extremely wary of sending my baby to school in the current moment so homeschooling is looking like our choice this fall.

I feel blessed to have that option but not all parents don't. So tell me,

What are you plans this year for school?

If you are homeschooling or are continuing to work from home this fall make sure that you have a space that's is conducive to being productive and feels as separate from home as possible.

I'll be working from home myself through the end of the year and keeping my kids home as well I'm now re-thinking my own living space. When we all thought this was temporary and would end quickly I didn't really think about taking the time to create a space that felt like work. But now that I'm reading the tea leaves I think some form of working from home will be my new reality so I need my space to reflect that.

As always, whatever I do I'll share it with you because we are in this together.

Happy Shopping!
