In my work life I very rarely doubt myself. I know that I know my job and so I have a level of confidence that is rarely shaken.
This isn't true of other places in my life.

I remember the first time I was asked to sing at church.
My first gut reaction was absolutely not!
I didn't think I could and who really wanted to hear me sing anyway?
Eventually, after a lot of encouragement I did it. My leg shaking so bad I thought for sure it would fall clean off. lol.
Today, I've led worship, sung a hook on a CD, sung in concerts for hundreds and a concert for two little babies who only would quiet when they heard me sing. My daughter still says sing mommy sing!
If I had allowed my self-doubt to stop me my talent would never have been developed.
There are still times in my life when I doubt myself. However, I don't let it stop me. It may delay me but I push through the fear, my leg shaking, and do whatever it is because I may discover I'm really good at it.
The only way you find that out is if you try.
